Mark Harvey is a professional photographer specializing in portraiture of both people and horses. Capturing images has been a passion for Mark since a very early age. During his school years Mark eagerly took on the responsibility of taking photos for the school newspaper. “As far as I can remember I’ve always had a camera in my hand.” The early mornings and late evenings were also engaged with shots of the surrounding countryside and its wildlife, taken whilst walking the dog!

In 1999 Mark went to the University of East Anglia where he completed a degree in Ecology. This allowed him to develop his interest in nature photography. At the same time he was a dedicated member of the rowing club, enabling him to take dynamic action shots of a sport he loved.
After graduation, and with great determination Mark decisively embarked on a professional career in photography. He intently started photographing stage productions, portraits, animals, sports and other big events. “Very little escaped my lens in those first couple of years.” Four years on Mark has developed a unique and confident photographic style. His passion for portrait photography and horses has been overwhelming and as a result, he is kept very busy doing what he has always dreamt of doing. As well as portrait photography, Mark is also developing his own personal projects, some of which he hopes to publish in the near future. He lives and works in Norfolk, UK.
